This project is created collaboratively with artists Leila Ashtiani (Iran), Sofie Dieu (France), Humaira Fayazi (Afghanistan), Abouk Giir (Sudan), Rahila Zeeshan (Pakistan) and Multicultural Women Victoria (MWV). The body of work will be displayed at the Queen Victoria Women Centre, later in 2024.

Ara, Made of Stardust, film collaboration with Michael Sollis, director of The Griffyn Ensemble

This film collaboration with The Griffyn Ensemble director, Michael Sollis, is an interpretation of 'Ara' a short music piece of 8 minutes. Inspired by the Southern Sky constellation Ara itself, this film recounts the importance of remaining conscious while entering the dream world to become lucid.

This film is the finalist of the 2023 Issy Biennale (Fr), the 2024 SQ Uni Biennale Award (Aus) and the 2024 Estivales Sceaux(Fr).

Dream Journal, pearl embroidery on French night gown

Since 2021, Sofie embroiders a dress with her nightly dreams. Alongside her paper journal, this dress celebrates the visions and wisdoms she receives every night.

This textile work was on display as part of Naarm Textile Collective exhibition, 17-28 October 2023. Opening the 17th of October 2023, 6-8pm Fourty Five Downstairs Gallery in Melbourne Victoria Australia
